An investigation is underway after firefighters bust a marijuana growing operation at a building in Marble Hill, Manhattan.

Sources say they stumbled upon more than 200 marijuana plants inside two apartments.

They were responding to a call for downed electrical wires on Jacobus Place at the time.

The complex was briefly evacuated until Con Ed gave the all clear.

Residents say they've been complaining about the overpowering smell of weed for more than a year.

"Some days it’s so strong that I think they're in the hallway smoking it. That's how strong it is,” one nearby resident said.

“It's crazy to have these kinds of places, and do these kinds of things in this neighborhood. With all of these family and residential people that live here. You're jeopardizing a lot of people's lives,” another added.

This is the same neighborhood where FDNY Chief Michael Fahy was killed in 2016, after a gas explosion at a home that turned out to be a grow house.
