The U.S. Global Change Research Program sends a warning about the potential devastation of climate change.

It comes from a report that directly contradicts President Trump, who doesn't believe climate change contributed to the California wildfires.

This National Climate Assessment was written before the deadly fires on the West Coast.

It says wildfires and storms like hurricanes are expected to worsen in coming years.

It also warns that without substantial changes like reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the United States is on the path to permanently damage ecosystems nationwide.

The report is legally mandated and must be delivered to Congress every four years.

Trump says the devastation in California did not change his mind adding quote, "I want a great climate. We're gonna have that. And we're gonna have forests that are very safe."
