BROOKLYN, N.Y. - A woman is facing multiple charges after police say she stole a car with a child inside at a gas station in Brooklyn over the weekend.

Police say Adrea Aronald, 52, drove off in the car just before 1:30 p.m after the girl's mother went inside around to buy a drink at the Allegiance located at Euclid and Sutter avenues.

Aronald hit a pedestrian before crashing into three parked cars in the vicinity of Crescent Street and Belmont Avenue.

Aronald allegedly tried to run away, but a bystander held her down until the police arrived.

The 2-year-old girl was not hurt, and the pedestrian was treated for minor injuries.

Aronald is charged with kidnapping, reckless behavior and grand larceny.
