Alec Baldwin is denying he punched a man over a parking spot in Greenwich Village.

The actor took to Twitter Saturday, calling the allegations "false" and "egregiously misstated."

He went on to say, "I realize that it has become a sport to tag people with as many negative charges and defaming allegations as possible for the purposes of clickbait entertainment. Fortunately, it doesn't make the statements true."

Baldwin was arrested Friday and charged with assault and harassment.

Police say Baldwin claimed he was trying to park his black Cadillac when a man driving a station wagon pulled up and took the spot.

Police say the men began arguing and things quickly escalated.

That's when Baldwin allegedly hit the man in the face.

He was given a desk appearance ticket and will appear in court at a later date.
