NEW YORK - A grand jury has indicted a Manhattan woman on murder charges in the slashing death of her neighbor.

Investigators say Anya Johnston, 24, lived one floor above the victim, Susan Trott.

Trott was found dead in her apartment located at 710 West End Avenue back on October 21.

It's not clear what led to the deadly attack.

Sources tell NY1 Johnston has a history of mental illness.

She was also indicted for burglary.
