NEW YORK - Police are investigating after two people were shot in Manhattan overnight by somebody in a Halloween mask.

It happened around 2 a.m. near 163rd Street and Broadway in Washington Heights.

A 21-year-old man suffered three gunshot wounds to the groin, leg and chest.

And a 17-year-old girl was hit twice in the torso.

They were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover.

The gunman's mask is said to have been similar to the one seen in the "Scream" movies.
