NEW YORK - The organizer of the Fyre Music Festival has been sentenced to six years in federal prison.
The Manhattan Federal Court judge called Billy McFarland a "serious fraudster".
McFarland admitted to scamming investors out of $26 million to put on the famously failed festival.
He also collected more than $100,000 in ticket sales.
The Fyre Music Festival in the Bahamas promised a VIP experience to attendees, but instead they dealt with delayed flights, half-built huts to sleep in and were served cold sandwiches.
