As Hurricane Michael makes landfall in Florida panhandle as a Category 4 storm, Governor Andrew Cuomo has deployed the New York National Guard to aid in the relief effort.

Hurricane Michael is expected to make landfall Wednesday afternoon on the Florida panhandle.

It could be one of the most dangerous storms to ever hit the region.

Florida Governor Rick Scott has already declared a state of emergency.

Forecasters are predicting up to 13 feet in storm surge and 12 inches of rain. 

State officials have ordered nearly 375,000 people to evacuate.
