NEW YORK - A new high-rise could be coming to the Inwood section of Upper Manhattan.

A developer has submitted plans for an affordable housing development under the controversial rezoning plan approved for the neighborhood last month.

The building would be constructed at 3875 Ninth Avenue, located at the corner of West 207th Street and at the foot of the University Heights Bridge.

According to the application received by the city Department of Buildings this week, the 30-story mixed use building would include 600 affordable low and middle income apartments.

The developer hopes to break ground by early 2019 and begin occupancy by 2022.
