The family of a Bronx teen who was stabbed to death last year while at school is planning to file a lawsuit against the city.

Luna Dennis, the mother of slain 15-year-old Matthew McCree is expected to make an announcement about the suit Thursday.

The claim targets the alleged killer, Abel Cedeno, the city, the department of education and the NYPD.

Cedeno is accused of fatally stabbing McCree and critically wounding another student in a classroom at the Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Conservation back in September 2017.

Some of the violence was captured on cell phone video.

Dennis' attorney claims the school was notified that Cedeno was bringing a weapon into the building before her son was killed and that when the principal requested metal detectors, the department of education did not approve the request.
