NEW YORK - Crews are working to repair a sinkhole on the Upper West Side.

The sinkhole formed earlier this week at 101st Street and Manhattan Avenue.

NY1 spoke to one local resident so says it's unacceptable that it's taken so long to fix.

"This sink hole been here since Tuesday 7 a.m. I tried reaching out to everybody. Finally someone doing something," they added.

The Department of Environmental Protection says it's working with Con Edison to restore the roadway.

It found all water and sewer infrastructure underground to be working properly.
