NEW YORK - A mother was arrested Thursday, more than a year after her young son was found dead in Queens.

U.S. Marshalls took 31-year-old Phyllis Reinoso into custody in Alabama where she had been living.

She's now facing a slew of charges, including manslaughter, assault, and failure to exercise control of a minor.

Her 5-year-old son Michael Guzman died after a fatal amount of phenobarbituates, a medicine often prescribed to control seizures, was found in his system.

This all happened last January in Jamaica.

The medical examiner ruled Michael's death a homicide.

Police say Reinoso was not properly monitoring the medicine she was giving her son.
