A rare nor'easter is headed for New York City Saturday night and could bring heavy rain and strong winds to the five boroughs.

The heaviest rains are expected Saturday night.

Parts of the city could get as much as one to two inches of rain from the storm.

Wind gusts could get near 50 mph.

Thunderstorms are likely to come with the storms as well.

The clouds and raindrops are expected to remain in place through Sunday morning, and a thunderstorm could develop in some areas.

The threat of wet weather is expected to remain in place through the upcoming week. No all-day rain events are expected, but, we will see a shower or storm from time to time.
