There's no lust at the Love and Lust strip club in Sunset Park.

It's been padlocked since the state revoked its liquor license this spring for "becoming a focal point for police attention."

Now the club is fighting to get its license back with the help of some big name rappers like 50 Cent, who have been lending their support. But many in the community don't want to hear it.

Some residents aired their complaints at a community board meeting Wednesday night. But the club is taking legal action. It has filed a notice of claim against the city for $125 million.

It alleges that Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez, the local precinct commander, pressured Love and Lust to contribute to hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico and that when the club said no more, it claims police stepped up enforcement there.

His lawyer admits Gonzalez helped to collect hurricane aid but says the club expected favors from the police in return.

"That doesn't mean that they inspector is going to turn his eye when there's a crime being committed or an infraction of the law being committed and he continued doing his enforcement."

Gonzalez' lawyer is vowing to counter-sue for libel and slander. He says he believes 50 Cent has a stake in the club and will name the rapper as a defendant. The club's lawyer denies 50 Cent is a part owner.

After the club was shut down, a social media campaign was launched to reopen it.

On Instagram, Cardi B wrote, "Justice for Lust".

Another rapper, Jadakiss, posted too.

50 Cent posted a video of the club and wrote "get the strap".

The NYPD took that as a possible threat of violence and opened an investigation for misdemeanor aggravated harassment.

But a rep for the rapper says 'Get The Strap’ is a playful phrase to punctuate absurd and outrageous situations.

Meanwhile, the community board says it will oppose reinstating the liquor license.

"The data suggests that these are not the kind of businesses that we want in this community," said Community Board 7 Chair Cesar Zuniga.

The club's lawyer vows to fight on, saying Love and Lust deserves at least a little love from the community.
