Blues legend Buddy Guy is scheduled to take the stage Sunday night as the final act at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in Times Square.

The Funk pioneers George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic performed Saturday night at the 42nd St. venue.

The club's owners said earlier this month that the skyrocketing rent was forcing them to close after 18 years.

"We were one of the first ones when they first opened, so it is only right that we be one of the last ones," George Clinton said. "Because B.B. King got that funk, so we want to close it out with that funk."

Management at the club said they are searching for a new location. Other B.B. King's Blues clubs are located in Memphis, Nashville, and other cities.

The club has held a goodbye celebration over the past 13 days, with artists such as Rick Ross, Slick Rick, and Doug E. Fresh performing at the venue.

The Times Square location first opened in June of 2000, and has hosted performances from historic artists such as B.B. King, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Jay-Z, Bon Jovi, and Chuck Berry.
