NEW YORK - Straphangers looking to use a Manhattan subway station along the B and C lines will now have to find an alternative.

The 110th Street-Cathedral Parkway stop is now closed for renovations.

It's part of the Enhanced Station Initiative, which will have the station closed through the fall.

Elected officials and disability rights groups gathered to protest the renovations Monday - specifically citing lack of accessibility at the station.

They are also asking for increased shuttle bus service and monthly progress reports on the station, to ease burdens for riders.
