A wild scene on Staten Island ended Sunday with a woman being taken into custody by police.

Police say it all began Saturday night when Lori Gjenashaj was arrested for choking another woman.

Then, Sunday afternoon police say she tried to break into the home of her former friend's located at 166 Highland Avenue in Grymes Hill.

They say she was armed with a gun and a brick.

Gjenashaj was eventually caught by police when she was trying to flee during a traffic stop.

"As police officers approached the vehicle, the woman displayed a firearm. Two police officers shot five rounds of bullets, hitting the woman one time in the shoulder. The suspect was removed to Richmond University where they say she is in stable condition at this time," said NYPD Chief of Patrol Rodney Harrison.

Gjenashaj remains in the hospital.

Police say charges from Sunday are pending.
