Police identify the suspect in a brutal beating in the Times Square subway station last week.

Authorities are looking for Jose Hasing, who apparently goes by the name "Golden Boy."

They say Hasing punched his victim several times in the face and body, and then knocked the man to the floor, kicking him repeatedly.

It's still not clear why he attacked the man.

"The victim of this cannot tell us exactly what he did wrong. He said 'All of a sudden, I was attacked,'" said NYPD Chief Robert Boyce. "So we're looking for this man. He has, bad guy, he's indicted for a gun case as well in Brooklyn, so we're seeking him now. Anybody has any information, if you see him, please call 911. If you know where he is, please call the tips number."

Detectives say Hasing is from Queens, is 24 years old and has a criminal record.

The victim was treated at the scene for bruises.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
