There was a little luck of the Irish on Staten Island Sunday.

A sea of green filled the borough's streets as the 54th annual St. Patricks Day parade took place on Forest Avenue in West Brighton.

Hundreds lined the streets bright and early to experience some Irish traditions.

The parade closed streets between Hart Boulevard and Forest Avenue for most of the afternoon.

This parade is just one of many held throughout New York.

The official New York City parade is scheduled to happen in two weeks.
