Sunny and warmer conditions in the Friday forecast; better get out and enjoy it because a cloudy and wet forecast starting this weekend and most of next week.

Skies cleared out nicely across the Tar Heel State for Thursday and those clear skies will allow temperatures to drop to the upper 20s and low 30s by sunrise Friday morning.

Friday looks good with ample sunshine and warmer highs in the mid and upper 50s in the Triangle and to near 60 in the Sandhills.

Soggy weather will return to central North Carolina by early Saturday morning. We will then see off and on rain through the weekend and one to two inches of rain now looks likely from Saturday to Sunday.

Off and on rain chances may then continue into much of next week.
