After a dry start to the week, the chance for showers returns to our forecast for the middle of the week...

Tuesday dawned with sunshine and chilly temperatures.  We saw a few more clouds by Tuesday afternoon along with warmer temperatures.  Clouds will continue to slowly increase through the night as southerly winds will continue to pull more moisture into North Carolina.  Wednesday morning will start mostly cloudy but dry with the best chance for showers developing into Wednesday afternoon.  Temperatures will be warmer on Wednesday with breezy conditions.  Showers are expected to linger into Wednesday night.

High pressure will build back across the area by early Thursday.  This will give us a return to more sunshine for Thursday and Friday with cooler daytime highs.

And after two weekends with showers, it looks like our next chance for showers will arrive just in time for this weekend.
