The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is rolling out new electric buses Tuesday.

Ten are taking to the streets as part of a three-year pilot program.

They will run along the B32 route in Brooklyn and Queens, and the M42 and M50 lines in Manhattan.

The MTA says the buses will be charged overnight or during midday hours at special charging stations in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The agency hopes to order 60 more electric buses if the pilot program is successful.
