A much colder air mass is moving in for Christmas Day. We will have a decent amount of sunshine in Charlotte but highs will only be in the middle 40s. For the mountains, Christmas will start with a little morning snow then some afternoon sun but it will be windy with highs only in the upper 20s. Wind chills will be in the teens! We will remain colder all week. There are two storm systems we are keeping a very close eye on for possible wintery precipitation. The first one rolls in late Thursday night into Friday with a possible mix of rain, sleet and snow. The next one looks to impact the area for New Year's Eve. Stay tuned folks! Merry Christmas!
