DALLAS, Texas - Two men who chased down the Sutherland Springs shooter are being honored again.

Stephen Willeford and Johnnie Langendorff are finalists for the "Dallas Morning News Texan of the Year" award.

Willeford and Langendorff jumped into action when they heard shots at First Baptist church. Willeford loaded his rifle and ran toward the church barefoot, firing at the suspect.

He got into Langendorff's truck and the two followed the gunman and stood guard until police arrived.

The two were strangers until that day.

Both said they don't consider themselves heroes.
