NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – The New Braunfels Police Department is looking for a man who tried to drive an SUV over a small cliff while fleeing authorities on Friday.

A police officer tried to pull over George Fuentes, who was driving a tan GMC Suburban, in the 1100 block of Interstate 35 South shortly after 5 a.m.

Fuentes, 30, took off and led New Braunfels police and Comal County Sheriff's Department deputies on a chase before driving over a cliff near Lookout Road. The SUV stopped in a drainage ditch, and Fuentes and a female passenger ran off.

The woman was caught, but police are still looking for Fuentes. He has a warrant for his arrest for parole violations, according to the New Braunfels Police.  He is considered armed and dangerous.
