LOS ANGELES – An actor known for his role in "Glee" has pleaded guilty to child pornography possession after he admitted to owning 25,000 images of children in sexual situations.

Mark Wayne Salling, 35, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 7 after pleading guilty before U.S. Judge Otis Wright II. Los Angeles police found Salling’s collection of child pornography on his laptop, a hard drive, and a USB.

His girlfriend told police about the collection after he showed her the images.

Child pornography charges carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. After Salling completes his prison sentence, he will have to register as a sex offender.

Salling played Noah Puckerman on “Glee.” He is from Dallas, Texas.
