The Big Apple has looked a lot like the North Pole on Saturday, as thousands of Santas have descended upon Manhattan.

"It's crazy, it's fun," said one man — of the many participants — dressed like Santa Claus. "There's a Christmas tree right over there dancing around. He's like six, eight feet tall."

The annual SantaCon pub crawl kicked off Saturday morning at the Farley Post Office.

Participating bars in the East Village, Flatiron District, and Midtown have offered drink specials throughout the day.

NY1 spoke to some festive fans on the pub crawl who felt the holiday cheer.

"I think it's great time so far. We're having an awesome time."

"Just enjoy Christmas and holidays, just everyone having a good time," said one Santa. "It's always good to bring people together."

"We're here to celebrate joy and charity," said another. "That's what SantaCon is all about."

The event raises money for charity, but it has received a lot of backlash in recent years, with some participants acting disorderly.

Organizers said they will crack down on any inappropriate behavior this year.

The MTA is banning alcohol on Long Island Railroad and Metro-North trains Saturday.
