EL PASO, Texas -- The FBI is doubling the reward in the case of a border Patrol agent who died last month.

The federal reward is now $50,000 for information that helps solve the case. Agent Rogelio Martinez was found Nov. 18 with severe head injuries and broken bones.

Martinez's partner called for help, and was found with similar injuries. His partner's name has not been released, and does not remember what happened. The FBI is investigating this case as a potential assault, but says it may also be an accident.

The state of Texas is also offering a $20,000 reward for information.
