Police are looking for the person they say slashed a man several times during a robbery in the Bronx on Thursday.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. in an apartment building near East 175 St. and Crotona Ave. in Tremont, and was caught on video.

Police said the masked man seen above waited for a 52-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman to enter the building before threatening them with a knife.

After the perpetrator took the woman's purse and struggled with the man, he slashed the 52-year-old on his arm and hand multiple times, police said.

The woman is then seen in the video hitting the attacker several times with the handle of a broom before he fled.

Police said the victims were treated for their injuries at a local hospital.

The attacker seen above was described as wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, backpack, and long-sleeved shirt, and light-colored pants.
