Four flood-blocking doors are now in place at two tunnels that took a beating during Hurricane Sandy.

The Hugh Carey Tunnel and the Queens Midtown Tunnel took on about 80 million gallons of water in the 2012 storm.

Now they've been outfitted with the new doors.

They are each two-feet thick and weigh 45,000 pounds.

Eight doors will be installed by the end of the year.
