NEW YORK - Just two years ago it was shutting its doors, now Pearl River Mart's expanding in Chelsea.
The popular Chinese department store will open a second location in Chelsea Market in November.
Owners say it spans 3,500 square feet.
The new store will focus mostly on traditional food items and kitchenware, but will also carry some of the brand's best sellers.
Pearl River Mart re-opened in TriBeCa last year, after skyrocketing rent forced the owners to close their longtime Chinatown location in 2015.
