Police are offering a reward for information after finding a dog inside of a trash compactor on the Lower East Side.

City Housing employees found the dog last Thursday morning.

It was at the Vladeck Houses on Jackson Street near Cherry Street.

The dog is small Chihuahua, and police say it is in good health.

It is being taken care of by the ASPCA.

The NYPD says it will give $2,500 for details leading to an arrest.
