NY1 VIDEO: It's a bittersweet ending for a Woodside bakery closing up shop after almost a half-century in business. Underneath the 7 Train, V&V Bakery has stood the test of time in a rapidly-changing neighborhood for 45 years. But after all that time a rent hike is causing the family bakery to shutter its doors. Queens Reporter Clodagh McGowan sat down with anchor Kristen Shaugnessy to talk about how denizens of Woodside feel about losing a neighborhood institution.
