A Manhattan man is charged with robbery after police say he stole a piece of jewelry off blind woman in Washington Heights last weekend.
47-year-old Raymond Rivera is accused of robbing 59-year-old Evelina Calcano inside her apartment building on Fort Washington Avenue last Sunday.
Surveillance video shows Rivera following Calcano inside her building and attacking her.
He then snatched a gold chain off her neck before running off.
Rivera, who was apprehended Thursday, is charged with one count of robbery.
