A new website is allowing New Yorkers to learn the ins and outs of a building's history, before signing a lease.

Rentlogic.com rates the city's over one million residential buildings on a letter grade scale, much like the restaurant grading system.

It uses almost a decades worth of data from various government agencies to rate a building.

The website takes multiple reports into consideration, including landlord problems, vermin infestations and construction violations.

Potential renters can look at available apartments across the five boroughs and see their rankings from best to worst.
