A candlelight vigil was held Tuesday night in Brooklyn for the victims of the earthquake in Ecuador.
The vigil was held in Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick, which has one of the largest concentrations of Ecuadorian-Americans in the city.
Borough President Eric Adams was among the officials to attend the service.
"We want to send a strong message that we are the bridge between your homeland and here in America," Adams said. "You have the right to have the full support of the American government behind you and we want to be there to make sure that support is there."
More than 350 people were killed in Sunday's 7.8 magnitude earthquake and thousands more were injured.
