Storytelling is taking on full multimedia form at a new exhibit in Brooklyn.

The New York Media Center's latest show in DUMBO explores the theme of air, land and sea and its connection to human nature.

Eleven artists from the Grumpy Bert shop and gallery swap traditional canvasses for HDTVs to display their message.

Organizers of the exhibit say the show's multimedia format gives the exhibit a modern edge.

"There's video, there's animation, there are GIFs, all sorts of digital media all combined into one very cohesive, excellent show," said Thomas Rotenberg, Digital Media and Gallery Manager at The Made in NY Media Center.

The exhibit is free and open seven days a week.

It runs until April 30.
