New Yorkers got an early taste of Christmas in Brooklyn with a Mexican twist.

The non-profit Mixteca hosted a Posada at Industry City in Sunset Park.

A Posada is a traditional Mexican Christmas Party.

The party featured games, crafts and a magician. Organizers say the annual event is a tradition for people of Mexican heritage.

"As many thing as we do, it's about recreating the cultural traditions of the Mexican community," one organizer said. "They love the posada, the posada is a big thing in Mexico it's reminiscent of the travel of the, it's an original it's a religious motif."

Visitors were also treated to a pop-up market and were offered a taste tour of different cultures' cuisines across the neighborhood.
