A woman has filed a lawsuit claiming a Rikers Island correction officer forced her to remove her clothes and groped her during a visit to the jail.

Dana Grottano says she was visiting her boyfriend on September 1 when a female guard ordered her to go behind a privacy curtain for a pat-down.

In court papers, she claims the officer made her pull down her pants and then groped her.

Grottano also says the jail guard forced her to remove her bra - all in front of her five-year-old daughter.

She's seeking unspecified damages.

Sources tell NY1 the Department of Correction does not allow visitors to be strip searched, and pat-downs are permitted with a signed consent form.

The city Law Department says it will reviews specific allegations and investigate the facts once they are served with legal papers.
