A ferry boat along the East River made a hard landing early Wednesday evening as it approached Pier 11 in Manhattan.

NY Waterways, which operates the boat, said the hard landing happened at about 5:45 p.m.

According to NY Waterways, 36 people were on board the boat at the time.

The FDNY says six patients were evaluated at the scene. Two of those patients were sent to area hospitals. They all have minor injuries, according to the FDNY.

According to the FDNY, four more people refused medical attention at the scene.
