Subway riders are used to the doo-wop groups and acrobatic dancers that entertain them on their commutes, but straphangers got a taste of something classical Saturday.
Dozens of musicians performed free Bach concerts underground.
Organizers of "Bach in the Subways" say they take pride in offering playing music for those who don't have easy access to it.
The date for the performance also holds significance to music lovers, because it marks the composer's 330th birthday.
