As part of NY1’s coverage of National Teacher Appreciation Week, News All Day hosted two Bronx pre-K teachers who wrote a children’s book called “Animals Eating the Alphabet" to help kids associate letters with the food they're eating.

Jade Greene-Grant and Barbara Magnotta are longtime friends and colleagues who work at PS 121. Their book helps young children learn to read while associating the sounds and words together.

To help fund the publication of the book, Greene-Grant went on “Wheel of Fortune,” and won $84,000.

The book can be found on Amazon or TeachersToAuthors.com.
