Roughly 1.7 million New York City residents voted in the 2022 general election — about 70% of them voted for Gov. Kathy Hochul. 

Although Hochul performed well throughout the five boroughs, some neighborhoods, particularly in Southern Brooklyn, have become red during recent elections.
