As Mayor de Blasio delays the opening of city public schools, many charter schools across the city have already begun the school year. That includes Coney Island Prep schools, which began remote learning this week and will have students begin attending in-person classes in October, at the earliest. Leslie-Bernard Joseph, the CEO of Coney Island Prep, joined Errol Louis to discuss his plans for the school year, how they’re keeping students safe and what he’s hearing from teachers and families.
