Michelle Lesco takes the gold for the women's divion of Nathan's Famous Hot Dog eating contest.

She was the favorite heading into today's competition, finishing with 30 and 3/4 dogs. However, she did not beat her previous record of 32. Lesco dethrones Miki Sudo as the hot dog eating champ. Sudo did not compete this year, as she is pregnant.

The annual event is back in front of an audience this year, after last year's scaled back version due to the pandemic.

Next up, defending champion Joey Chesnut is looking for his 14th victory, he currently holds the world record of 75 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.
