Ever dream of connecting, one-on-one, with an original cast member from the global phenomenon "Hamilton"? Well, that chance can be yours, and all for a good cause. It’s called "Ham4Change."

Organized by Broadway’s original Hercules Mulligan and James Madison, Okieriete Onaodowan, "Ham4Change" is a virtual style variety benefit that features company members from the award-winning musical. And with each show, money is raised for not-for-profits that are focused on ending systemic racism.

"'Ham4Change,' basically the cast of 'Hamilton' coming together after the events of what happened with George Floyd, a lot of us felt that we needed to use our platform for good," said Onaodowan.

Original "Hamilton" cast member Morgan Marcell is also taking part in the initiative.

"We've kind of been at the forefront of equality and people look to 'Hamilton' as such. And so we really need to show up for this. And, you know, we have, African Americans obviously in our cast and like sometimes their lives are at danger or could be at risk, and so we need to protect them," said Marcell.
 

Organizations that are being supported include The African American Policy Forum, Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective, Black AIDS Institute, Color of Change, and others. Tickets start at a “US Hamilton” – or $10 – and then the show is yours.  

"It's a two-hour stream. We have trivia questions hosted by Andrew Chapelle. We have some footage from backstage that people didn't see -- just conversations between cast members, giving insights on what it was like to work on the show that -- you really can't see anywhere else," Onaodowan said.

And for some additional "Hamiltons," you can have a one-on-one session with your favorite star from the musical and then some.

"John Groff sold voicemails. So he did, you know, 10 or so voicemails for people as 'The King.' It’s really fun," Marcell said.
