Starting this holiday weekend, 22 of the city's "Open Streets" will be dedicated to outdoor dining.

Mayor de Blasio made the announcement yesterday, saying combining the Open Streets and Open Restaurants programs will help restaurants stay in business.

More than two-and-a-half miles of pedestrian-only streets will be open on Friday nights and weekends until Labor Day.

Some of those streets include Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, Mulberry Street in Manhattan, and Bell Boulevard in Queens.

The city expects to add 10 to 20 additional streets for outdoor dining on July 17, including Dyckman Street in Inwood.

So far, more than 5,000 restaurants have applied for outdoor dining permits.
