NEW YORK - The latest numbers from Mayor de Blasio's office show a 3.11% seven-day average positivity rate.

That’s up from the 3.02% average the city recorded on Friday. More than 1,300 new cases were reported, and 118 patients were admitted to the hospital.

The mayor says this weekend is critical to fighting back COVID-19 in the city, as the infection rate continues to rise, adding that more restrictions from the state could be coming soon if the city moves into an orange zone.

Governor Cuomo's office had the city's seven-day average at 2.5% as of yesterday.

This is due to the city and state calculating the infection rate differently.

The governor says that would mean the city's indoor dining and gyms likely would not close until mid-December at the earliest.
