Thousands gathered Sunday at Bullis Park in Macedon for the Wayne County Back the Blue Ride and Rally.

Police closed traffic on Route 31 and Canandaigua Road as supporters rode their bikes and drove their cars through the park.

New York’s 24th Congressional District’s Congressman John Katko was in attendance, saying police should be honored for risking their lives.

"99.9% percent of officers get it right,” Katko said. “We got to keep that in mind and honor them, who risk their lives every day to keep us safe. But at the same time, if there are officers that aren't doing a good job, we got to create standards to make sure they do, do a good job or they can't be officers anymore."

Katko went on to say it was fantastic seeing the turnout for the rally.
