NY1 VIDEO: Since 2014, the classical music station WQXR has been collecting instruments that people were no longer playing, fixing them up and distributing them to NYC school students in needs. Thousands of instruments have been put in the hands of kids in need. Of the thousands of instruments donated, the new documentary “Joe's Violin,” which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, tells the story of one very special violin. NY1 Arts and Culture reporter Stephanie Simon takes a look in this Arts report.
